Working Farmland and Rural Landscapes

For the past two years, Kinderhook Farm has hosted the Shad Bake. The core of the farm is protected by an 817-acre Conservation Easement held by the Columbia Land Conservancy.  It is a prime example of how CLC is working to protect Columbia County ’s rural landscapes and working farmland.

As a producer of grass-fed beef, Kinderhook Farm represents a growing part of the local agricultural economy. The owners and farm management are making an investment in the land and farm infrastructure to be able to produce 100% grass-fed beef.   Their beef is all natural and raised without growth hormones or antibiotics.
