The Columbia
Land Conservancy owns and manages a number of public
conservation areas throughout the county. These areas are open to the
public
for free for non-motorized recreation including hiking, cross
country skiing, snowshoeing, bird watching, and other
educational and recreational uses. The conservation
areas are managed to balance public recreation and education with wildlife and habitat protection.
Throughout the
year, CLC's educators hold a variety of free
education and recreation programs for children and adults,
as well as school and youth groups, ranging from owl
prowls and animal tracking to snowshoe lessons and
canoe trips. Click here
for more information on our education and recreation
programs.
