Step Ahead...Sponsor a Boardwalk

Planned public access improvements at the Hand Hollow Conservation Area include more than five miles of hiking trails and a 150-foot boardwalk to traverse a wetland area.  The boardwalk will be made of cedar and recycled lumber, and is estimated to cost approximately $29,000.  You can sponsor the boardwalk in the following segments:

Two-foot section $270  
Five-foot section $675  
10-foot section $1,350

Honor a Loved One or Lead by Example...Plant a Commemorative Tree
  
Red Maple leaf

Small, tree-lined gathering and parking areas will greet visitors at  the entrances of the Hand Hollow Conservation Area and the Ooms Conservation Area at Sutherland Pond.  You can honor a loved one or your connection to Columbia County and leave a lasting legacy by purchasing a 2-inch caliper Red-Maple commemorative tree for $400.  The cost includes the purchase of the tree and professional planting to ensure its long term survival.

Inspire Others...Purchase a Picnic Table

Picnic tables will be located at Hand Hollow Conservation Area in New Lebanon, Ooms Conservation Area at Sutherland Pond in Chatham, and at High Falls Conservation Area in Philmont.  You can help purchase a rustic, Adirondack-style picnic table in honor or in memory of a special person; future generations will enjoy and cherish your gift.

CLC Summer intern

Summer interns help the Conservancy maintain and improve its public conservation areas and in return are given a unique opportunity to learn about natural resource management.  You can help keep CLC's summer intern program going by sponsoring a summer intern for a month or for an entire summer.

More than 10 miles of trails are planned for CLC's newest public conservation areas.  You can provide opportunities for guests and hikers to rest and ponder the beauty of Columbia County by donating a bench.  CLC needs benches at the High Falls, Borden's Pond, and Hand Hollow Conservation Areas.
